Modify DmFrac[Max|Min] and xDmFrac to mandate Hydrogen/Ammonia fuel use for specific enduse/tech combos. Setting DmFracTime to 1 ensures that transition happens immediately.

Alternatively, when affecting feedstocks, modify FsFrac[Max|Min] and xFsFrac to force fuel shares for specific techs (usually Gas)

Set xNH3Exports for specific area / year combination to exogenously set ammonia export levels.


Set NH3MSM0 to determine which H2Techs are available (0 >= values > -170) and unavailable (values = -170) for ammonia production.


Set H2MSM0 to determine which H2Techs are available (0 >= values > -170) and unavailable (values = -170) for hydrogen production.


Set physical lifetimes of plants to plan for retirements with H2PL. Setting it to zero means no retirements are required.


Make certain H2Techs more or less expensive to install by modifying H2CCN.

Variable costs (H2VC) can be affected by many factors, but policy files specifically modify Transmission Costs (H2Trans) which are any incremental costs above the standard delivery costs. For example, there’s an additional cost added to H2Tech NG CCS which must be transported from a central location to the market.
